Patrick Page nominated for Lucille Lortel award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical
See which shows are nominated in the 32nd annual celebration of Off-Broadway theatre. The nominations have been announced for the 32nd Annual Lucille Lortel Awards celebrating outstanding achievement in Off-Broadway theatre. The ceremony will take place May 7 at the Skirball Center and will be hosted by Hamilton star Taran Killam.
Leading the nominations with seven each are Anaïs Mitchell’s folk opera Hadestown, which played an acclaimed, extended run at New York Theatre Workshop, and the immersive Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, currently running at the Barrow Street Theatre, which has been converted into a pie shop for the production. The New Group’s revival of Sweet Charity starring Sutton Foster was not far behind, with six nominations including Outstanding Revival.
